Turn a Spotify playlist into a Bandcamp wishlist
Bandcamp is the most direct way to pay the artists you play. The hard part is finding forty tracks one search at a time.
Muvic takes the playlist, finds each track on Bandcamp, and adds it to your wishlist. You buy from the wishlist when you are ready. Entire playlists. One click.
Bandcamp sync is part of Muvic Pro. The free plan covers Beatport only. See pricing.
How it works
Copy the playlist link
In Spotify, open the playlist, choose Share, then Copy link to playlist. You can also paste a list of tracks or drop a playlist file from rekordbox, Serato, or Music.app.
Make Bandcamp your store
Set Bandcamp as your default store in Muvic. It searches Bandcamp first and only checks Beatport for what Bandcamp does not carry.
Click Sync
Muvic searches Bandcamp for each track and adds the matches to your wishlist. Anything it is not confident about is flagged rather than guessed.
Buy from your wishlist
Your wishlist now holds the playlist. Buy on Bandcamp exactly as you would without Muvic, so the artist gets the same share. Muvic never completes a purchase.
How this differs from a list of links
Hype Machine’s Merch Table takes a Spotify playlist and gives you links to the matching releases on Bandcamp. It is a good free tool, and you still open each release and add the track yourself.
Muvic does that last step for you. Every match lands in your wishlist, and anything Bandcamp does not carry can be retried on Beatport and added to your cart there.
Albums, misses, and tracks Bandcamp does not sell
Some Bandcamp releases are sold only as a full album. Muvic does not wishlist those, because that would put a whole album where you wanted one track. They are flagged so you can decide for yourself.
Tracks Bandcamp does not carry are retried on Beatport and added to your cart there. Whatever is left can be saved as a playlist inside Muvic to come back to.
How to do it without Muvic
- Open the Spotify playlist and Bandcamp side by side.
- Search Bandcamp for each track by artist and title. Many artists sell through their label’s page, so search the label name if the artist does not turn up.
- Open the release and check the track is sold on its own and not only as part of the album.
- Click the heart on the track to add it to your wishlist, then move on to the next one.
- Note every track Bandcamp does not carry and look for those on Beatport afterwards.
It works, and it is exactly the part of gig prep Muvic was built to take off your plate. Muvic vs buying by hand.
