What Choon does better
- Downloads your purchases automatically in the format you want, which removes the unzip-and-drag step Muvic does not touch at all.
- Tags your library with AI (energy, genre, region, era, vibe) and pushes those tags into Rekordbox My Tags so you can filter mid-set on CDJs.
- Charges once instead of monthly, and the download half costs nothing at any volume. Credits only buy the AI tagging, so a DJ who just wants their purchases pulled down and filed pays Choon nothing.
Common questions
Can I use Muvic and Choon together?
Yes, and that is the honest recommendation if you want both halves. Muvic fills your cart and tracks what you spent; you check out on the store; Choon pulls the files down and tags them for Rekordbox. They do not overlap.
Which one is cheaper?
They charge for different things, so this is not quite like for like. Choon downloads your purchases free on any account and sells credits from $5 for its AI tagging. Muvic is free for the first 25 tracks each month, then $6.99 a month or $59 a year for unlimited syncs. If you want both halves you are paying Muvic for the buying and Choon only if you want the tags.
Does Muvic download the music files?
No. Muvic fills your cart or wishlist and you complete the purchase and download on Beatport or Bandcamp yourself. It never downloads audio and never completes a purchase on its own.
