Muvic vs TrackDen
Both fill Beatport and Bandcamp carts and neither ever checks out for you. They start in different places. Muvic starts from a playlist you built somewhere else, like Spotify or rekordbox. TrackDen starts from the store pages themselves and is the better crate organiser while you browse.
Side by side
| What you want to do | Muvic | TrackDen |
|---|---|---|
| Turns a Spotify playlist into a cart | Yes. Paste a Spotify link, a list of "Artist - Track" lines, or drop a .m3u, .m3u8, or .csv file. | No. It imports from Bandcamp and Beatport pages, Beatport playlists, and CSVs of Bandcamp or Beatport links. |
| Fills your Beatport cart or Bandcamp wishlist | Yes, one track at a time, and you check out yourself. | Yes, in bulk, and you check out yourself. |
| Retries the other store when a track is missing | Yes. A Beatport miss is retried on Bandcamp, and the other way round (Pro). | Searches both stores and shows the results side by side for you to pick. |
| Compares prices across stores | No. | Yes. Bandcamp and Beatport prices side by side, with best-price and best-for-artist badges. |
| Tracks what you spent | Yes. Per-platform spend totals across Beatport and Bandcamp, with CSV or JSON export (Pro). | Syncs your purchases into its library, but does not total spend. |
| Where it runs | A macOS 12+ app, plus a browser version with the Sync Helper extension for Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. | A browser extension for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave, Arc, and Opera. Safari is on their roadmap. |
| Pricing | Free for 25 tracks a month on Beatport, then $6.99/month or $59/year, unlimited. | Free with no account while in open beta. A Pro tier is announced but not priced. |
What TrackDen does better
- Shows Bandcamp and Beatport prices side by side, with an estimate of what reaches the artist. Muvic does not compare prices at all.
- Works as a crate organiser while you browse the stores: tags, BPM and key filters, waveform previews, and a duplicate finder.
- Costs nothing and needs no account right now, keeps its data in your browser, and exports to M3U8 and to CSV formats that Soundiiz and TuneMyMusic read.
Common questions
Can TrackDen turn a Spotify playlist into a Beatport cart?
Not directly. TrackDen imports from Bandcamp and Beatport pages, Beatport playlists, and CSV files whose rows link to Bandcamp or Beatport. Starting from Spotify, or from a rekordbox or Serato playlist export, is what Muvic is built for.
Do either of them buy tracks for me?
No. Both fill your cart or wishlist and stop there. You review it on Beatport or Bandcamp and check out yourself.
Can I use both?
Yes. They overlap on filling carts but start from different places. Use Muvic to turn a playlist you built elsewhere into a cart, and TrackDen to compare prices and organise what you find while browsing the stores.
